Botanero - 7-piece ceramic platter for snacks
Ceramic platter handmade in Mexico. It consists of 7 parts - a main platter, five diamond-shaped, one round bowl. The whole piece is hand-painted and glazed. The dense colour makes it possible to feel the relief of the design under the fingers. The ceramic dish is resistant to fading and abrasion of the design. In addition, it is safe to wash in the dishwasher. The platter is mainly intended for sweet and salty snacks, but it can also be used for other dishes. The ceramic dish is also suitable as a decoration in your kitchen, which no one will be able to pass by indifferently. Intense colours and unusual patterns will provide the perfect variety among classic, single-colour dishes.
Talavera ceramics
The production method using this technique originates from the Spanish town of Talavera de la Reina and was brought to Mexico in the first half of the 16th century. Talavera ceramics are generally decorated with patterns that refer to floral symbolism. Flowers, buds, leaves and stems are strongly marked. In addition to blue, which was the dominant colour at the beginning, Talavera ceramics are now also decorated in shades of yellow, orange, red, green and black.
Talavera ceramics also include terracotta tiles and glazed tiles, which have recently become very fashionable and are eagerly used by interior designers.
