Iznik style tiles, manufactured in the Tunisian port town of Nabuel with dimensions of 20 x 20 cm. The tiles have a geometric pattern and the dominant colour is shades of blue. Tiles allow you to decorate large areas or selected places of small architecture, such as around doors or windows.

The story of Iznik in a few sentences.

The messages speak of two alternative stories of the founding of the city. The first tells the story of how the settlement was founded by the settlers of Beoencia, central Greece, which was soon destroyed by the Mysians, and then rebuilt by Antigone I the Unicorn, one of Alexander the Great's successors. Another account says that the settlement was founded by Alexander the Great's soldiers from the settlement of Nice, near Thermopylae. No matter which history is true, today's Iznik is a pearl in terms of art. Influences of heliistic, Roman and Byzantine cultures are noticeable. They are reflected in culture, architecture and design.

Ceramics in the Iznik style are characterized by geometric patterns, and there are also elements containing the symbolism of flowers. This may suggest that the first version of the Jiznik creation presented here is true, as Greek elements are visible here. The colours on the ceramics are characterised by a predominance of blue, which in turn may be influenced by the proximity of the sea.

The tiles made of Nabuel, in the Iznik style, are produced using old technologies, however, with the appropriate quality. The tiles are in the same dimensions, and the way The firing after tile glazing allows for low abrasion and high resistance.
