Figurines of Virgin of Guadalupe
Amazing, unique figurine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The figurine refers to an event in 1531, when the Virgin Mary appeared to Juan Diego, a resident of Mexico at the time, and requested that a church be built on the hill of Tepeyaca. Since then, the event has been used by Mexican artists and has inspired them. To this day, pilgrims from all over the world go to the site of the apparition and emphasise the religious nature of the pilgrimage. The statue of the Virgin of Guadalupe is produced in the artisanal Talavera style.
