Candelero - Mexican ceramic candle holder
Ceramic candle holder hand-painted by Mexican artisans. The product is protected by a glaze which prevents the patterns from rubbing off and the colours from fading. The colour has been applied so that the reliefs of the design can be felt under the fingers. The product is traditional and has space for one candle. The ceramic candle holder is a decoration for any room and, thanks to the handmade workmanship, the product is original and unique.
Talavera ceramics
The production method for this technique originates from the Spanish town of Talavera de la Reina and was brought to Mexico in the first half of the 16th century. Talavera ceramics are generally decorated with patterns that refer to floral symbolism. Flowers, buds, leaves and stems are strongly marked. In addition to blue, which was the dominant colour at the beginning, Talavera ceramics are now also decorated in shades of yellow, orange, red, green and black.
Talavera ceramics also include terracotta tiles and glazed tiles, which have recently become very fashionable and are eagerly used by interior designers.
