The artist decorated the beautiful dress of the figure with rose flowers and a wide white frill. In the hand of the figure there is a ceramic vessel with packages, gifts suggesting the festive character of the figure. The figure's head is adorned with a beautiful white hat with a wide brim. The base of the figurine is decorated with a symmetrical pattern referring to the ornaments found in Aztec culture.
The figurine was made using the traditional Talavera method brought to Mexico by the Spanish in the early 16th century. Production of such pottery is characterized by double firing and hand-made application of patterns and colors.
