Consomero bowl
Ceramic bowl from Mexico, handmade by an artisan. The bowl is decorated with floral patterns, characteristic of the Talavera style. The product can be used as a dish and a piece of tableware. It is suitable for use in the kitchen as well as the living room. It will also prove useful as a decoration in your home, which no one will be able to pass by indifferently. Intense colors and unusual patterns will be a perfect variety among classic, single-colored dishes.
The bowl is glazed which prevents the color from rubbing off and water from seeping in. The color has been applied by hand and the dense dye, quite thickly applied to the surface of the bowl, allows for a 3D-like effect. The ceramic dish is durable, resistant to damage and sturdy. You can wash them safely in the dishwasher.
Talavera ceramics
The production method using this technique originated in the Spanish town of Talavera de la Reina and was brought to Mexico in the first half of the 16th century. Talavera ceramics, as a rule, are decorated with patterns referring to floral symbolism. Heavily marked are inflorescences, buds, leaves and stems. In addition to blue, which was the dominant color in the beginning, at present Talavera ceramics are also decorated with shades of yellow, orange, red, green and black.
Talavera ceramics are also terracotta tiles and glazed tiles very fashionable recently and eagerly used by interior designers.
