Large rectangular platter Plato
Large rectangular platter with dimensions of 36 cm x 24.5 cm x 5.5 cm made in Talavera style.
The edge of the dish, which may be slightly irregular due to the craftsmanship, is tinted with a dark grenade, so it contrasts perfectly with the rest of the dish. The bottom of the platter together with the sides is decorated with floral motifs, so characteristic of Talavera style. Hand-applied patterns on the platter, create a unique, original work.
The dominant colors with which the patterns were painted are blue, yellow, orange and green. A thick layer of dye applied to the dish gives an effect similar to 3D. The method's characteristic method of glazing and firing the faience ensures appropriate durability, no possibility of discoloration and high resistance to mechanical damage.
