Florero vase
Ceramic Florero vase made in Talavera technique, 35 cm high and 15 cm in diameter.
This unique item was formed by a Mexican artist in an artisanal way, which makes it slightly different from each other.
The vase was decorated with patterns referring to the inflorescences of plants, their leaves and stems. The edge of the vase, colored navy blue, contrasts harmoniously with the other colors The floral patterns are hand painted by the artist. The dense consistency of the dye, applied on the surface, allows to obtain an effect similar to 3D. Massiveness and size of the vase allow the presentation of rich bouquets of flowers.
Talavera ceramics
The Telaver-style production method was brought with the Spanish colonists to Mexico in the first half of the 16th century. The original place to make such products was the city of Talavera de la Reina in Spain. The colors and designs from the Mayan and Aztec times were consistent with the new technology of ceramics. The craftsmanship of its production remained practically unchanged until the present day. Bold colors and designs have influenced the popularity of Talavera ceramics, and the products created by this technology have become desired by collectors around the world.
